Three Friends With A Dream
In 1989, we knew we wanted to be in business together, sharing the desire to open a
wholesome store in our neighborhood. Making a space where our home-schooled children
would be welcome to play, and our love of natural foods and good health would thrive.
We were weeks away from opening and we still hadn’t settled
on a name. Then one night, my mother, Phyllis popped out
THE GOOD SEED MARKET. Divine inspiration? Maybe.
For us, the name means a place where ideas can grow. ~Sue
We created a place in our community where friends, family and like-minded people
could find simple, natural and organic products for a healthy life. We wanted to be
a positive influence on the world, based in our hometown of Seekonk MA.
Thirty-seven years later, we are still enjoying our friendship and running the store together.
My first herb walk was with my Great-Grandmother Agnes in the
woods of Maine. She took us to search for wild wintergreen berries
for her tea. One of my favorite memories. ~Chris
We are members of the Independent Natural Foods Retailer Association (INFRA),
a group of 300 store owners just like us, who share experience, support and buying power.
This has helped the Good Seed be a better store, giving us the ability to remain amazingly competitive, allowing us to make the best natural food and products affordable.
We have always believed Natural Health belongs to Everyone, and will continue
to pass our savings onto you!
I think my favorite part of being at the Good Seed has been the
relationships we make with our customers. They have become
friends over the years, and we’re making new friends every day. ~Ruth
When you walk into the Good Seed Natural Food Market, you can expect to find a
warm welcome and a sunny store—well stocked with great food, clean body care and
quality supplements. We continue to discover new information, new foods and
new products, and we love when you share your new favorites with us.
